My research area is group theory and monoid theory. During my thesis,
and after, I investigated parabolic subgroups of Artin-Tits groups and
special morphisms, called LCM-homomorphisms, between Artin-Tits groups.
The technics are combinatorical (based on the Garside structure) and
geometrical (using actions on CAT(0)-spaces). After my thesis, I worked
also on several well-known generalizations of the braid group, such as
singular braids, surface braid groups and Garside groups. Since one year, I am working on two new area: the representations of the braid group as automorphisms of the free group, in connection with episturmian morphisms, and Renner monoids which appear in the algebraic monoid theory. These monoids naturally related to Coxeter groups. |
